Buying & selling your home

Residential conveyancing, transfers between family members and declarations of trust, with stamp duty and capital gains checked before exchange.

Inheritance & trust disputes

Contested wills, claims against estates and disputes between trustees, beneficiaries or co-owners.

Personal insolvency & debt

Advice for individuals facing bankruptcy petitions or creditor pressure, and for executors dealing with an insolvent estate.

Common questions

How are your legal fees charged?

Most wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate and conveyancing work is done for a fixed fee. For disputes, we agree the basis of charging at the outset, give estimates and tell you before costs change.

Are your solicitors regulated?

Yes. Legal services at Totus One are provided by solicitors regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Details are in our legal and regulatory notice.

Can you act for more than one member of the family?

Often, yes, for example for a couple making wills or for the executors of an estate. We check for conflicts on every matter and tell you if separate advice is needed.

Do I need to be in London to work with you?

No. Our office is in Clerkenwell and we act for clients across the UK. Most matters run by video, phone and email.

What if my legal matter has tax or financial consequences?

Our accountants and financial planners deal with them as part of the same matter.

How quickly can you act?

Tell us your deadline and we will say whether we can meet it. Hearing dates, exchange deadlines and creditor pressure are dealt with on the day you call.
